# Vercatus

> Vercatus is a machine visibility intelligence platform. It measures a website's machine readership — how much of the site search engines and AI answer engines can reach, understand and cite — and turns the measurement into decisions the next measurement verifies.

Vercatus analyses a site from a sitemap: it samples pages across every template and language, fetches each
one as several machine identities (plain HTTP, a browser, a browser without JavaScript, Googlebot, and the
major AI crawlers) and compares the responses; extracts entities, factual claims and answerable questions
into a knowledge graph; simulates retrieval over the site's own content to find questions it cannot answer;
and produces evidence-graded findings, each with a metric and a control cohort so the next run can verify it.
Every run also produces a plain-language executive brief for non-technical readers.
