We measure in public
Our own site is measured first, and what we find is published with its date and its limits. The 64-site access study is published the same way.

No invented customers, testimonials or uplift figures. Pictures of the product use a fictional workspace; planned features say Planned; a verdict says what it cannot prove.

Plays rest on a knowledge base of 187 entries, each with its claim, its sources, a grade from A to D and a date to check it again.
The knowledge baseOur crawler says who it is
Its page and file requests are signed with a published key (RFC 9421), it names Vercatus in its user agent, honours robots.txt and backs off when asked.
How to verify our crawler
- Every engine on its own. Answer Share is read per engine, with named and cited kept apart. How Answer Share works
- Against topics left alone. A verdict compares the topics a play aimed at with topics no play touched. How verdicts work

On 1 October 2026 we asked every engine 7 neutral questions about the tools in our own market. Vercatus was named in 0 of 119 answers.
- Answer Share 0%, range 0 to 1.6%, against 40% for the leading tool on the same answers.
- Without search, ChatGPT took us for a pension fintech and Gemini took us for an Amazon PPC agency.
- 108 plays written for our own site, 0 shipped so far. Their verdicts are read 45 days after each ships, and published here.

What we will not do
- Analyse a site for anyone who has not verified it
