White-label reports

Agencies presenting to clients, and enterprises that want an internal tool name, can rebrand the workspace and the reports it produces. Settings → Branding:

Setting Where it appears
Product name The wordmark, the browser title, the report masthead
Logo Beside the wordmark
Accent colour Buttons, links, active states, report headings
Support email The footer of every report
Hide attribution Removes “powered by Vercatus” from reports and the dashboard (Portfolio and Enterprise plans)

Branding is per workspace. It changes presentation only; the analysis, the knowledge base and the crawler identity are unchanged, and the crawler still identifies itself as Vercatus to the sites it visits.

The product name, the logo and the accent colour apply to the workspace as a member sees it and to everything it produces for someone outside it:

  • The site audit and the Results report (the board brief and the quarterly review), as pages and as PDFs.
  • The board brief and the quarterly review, including the read-only link a board member opens without an account.
  • The monthly brief and the report emails, including their subject lines.
  • Alerts in Slack and Teams, where the product name replaces ours.
  • The crawler. It identifies itself as Vercatus and signs its page and file requests over plain HTTP with our keys, because a site owner reading their logs has to be able to check who it was. See the crawler.
  • The knowledge base. Plays and findings cite the entries they rest on, and those keep their own name and sources; evidence that cannot be traced is not evidence.
  • The measurements. Nothing about branding changes what is measured or how a figure is calculated.

“Powered by Vercatus” appears in reports and in the dashboard on Starter and Growth. Portfolio and Enterprise can switch it off, which is the setting agencies presenting under their own name ask for. Switching it off does not remove the knowledge-base citations or the method note on the report: a reader has to be able to see how a number was arrived at, whoever’s name is at the top.

Branding and client permissions are separate

Section titled “Branding and client permissions are separate”

Changing a workspace name or hiding attribution does not restrict what a member can read. Use the client role or site-limited analyst/viewer access for selected sites; owners and admins have workspace-wide access. An unrestricted viewer can see all sites. Read team roles and site access before inviting clients.
