How Vercatus works
One loop, from what your market asks to an honest verdict.
Five steps, in the app's own words, with Learn underneath: every verdict sets the expected gain of the next play.
Start from what your market asks AI.
Vercatus builds your topics from the buyer's side: the questions people put to an assistant before they buy, sampled in the many ways people phrase them, so one awkward wording never decides your number.
Every topic carries its AI demand, always a range with a grade and its sources, so you spend effort where the asking is.
- Topics, not promptsclusters of real buyer questions
- AI demanda range with a grade, never one number
- Your marketcountry and language per site
- Competitorsfound from the answers themselves
See why AI picks them.
An answer is built from what the engine remembers without searching, the pages it reads and the searches it runs. For each topic and competitor, Vercatus reads all three and says which one carries the leader, with the evidence one click away.
Engine Briefs add what each engine says about you. They are shown as perception and tested, because what an engine says it values is not always what moves it.
- Memorywhat each engine says with search off
- Sourcesthe pages engines read, and who they name
- Searchthe searches engines run, and who ranks
- Engine Briefswhat each engine says about you
Get the exact change, with a draft.
Plays are written every day from the lenses, the briefs and the checks of your own pages, ranked by expected gain, confidence and effort: get named on the pages engines read, get onto the review sites they cite, write the missing page, fix a page, correct a fact an engine gets wrong, and more.
Steps and a first draft come when you ask, in your market's language; for a page on your site, Vercatus can write the whole page. Nothing unverified is filled in: a missing fact is an ask for you.
- Expected gainmeasured on the topic's own answers
- Steps, a draft or a full pageyours to edit, send or publish
- An acceptance checka machine sees the change go live
- Hand-offsClaude Code, Codex or a ticket in Linear, Jira, GitHub or Asana, from Growth up
Know which changes worked.
Every play you ship gets a verdict within 45 days. The topics a play aimed at are compared with the topics left alone, from the day the engines could see the change, so a market-wide swing is never mistaken for your win.
Verdicts are read on days 14, 30, 45, the last read final, and graded A to D for the strength of their evidence. Only A and B can be called Won or Lost ground.
- Five statesWon, Lost ground, No effect, Inconclusive, Too early
- Graded A to Dand it says what else changed
- ResultsAnswer Share since the start, wins and outcomes
- For the boarda monthly brief and a quarterly review
Every verdict makes the next play smarter.
Vercatus Intelligence learns from verdicts across customers, in aggregate and above privacy floors, and from every change it sees on the pages engines read. When a list engines cite adds a brand, Vercatus reads what happened to that brand's share: a natural experiment nobody had to run.
- Plays like thiswhat plays of the same kind did elsewhere
- Natural experimentsread from changes across the web
- The AI Demand Indexcalibrated by first-party AI data
The search side of your site, scored just as honestly.
Answer engines are one way people find you; search is the other. SEO Health reads your important pages the way Google and Bing do, and gives one score for whether they can find, index and show them, with the problems ranked by what they cost.
Every result is a measurement, never a model's opinion, and every point lost belongs to a named rule and the pages it was found on. Any problem can become a play, and the next check says whether it is fixed.
- One score, four questionsfind and index, results, content, speed
- Ranked by costproblems on the pages that matter come first
- Sourced ruleseach links to the search engine's own documentation
- Weekly, or on demanda light check that does not wait for a full run
One loop
for every business.
Industries are examples, not products: the loop is the same, and the clock and the topics change.
A brand
Comparison and "best tool for" topics, where the shortlist is written in the answer.
A store
"Best running shoes under a hundred dollars": product, price and review sources.
A publisher
The same loop at a larger volume, set by the Enterprise contract.
An agency
The loop for each client on Portfolio, with white-label briefs and free viewer seats.
What the loop cannot do,
said plainly.
The limits are part of the method. Knowing them is what lets a Won verdict mean something. How Answer Share and verdicts are designed
- Effects are small and noisy. Many verdicts will read No effect or Too early. That is the honest result, and why Learn matters.
- Bundled plays are measured together. One play's share needs a staggered rollout.
- Demand is modelled. Ranges start wide and narrow as first-party AI data calibrates them.
- Engines change. A verdict window that contains an engine change is graded down.
- Earned, never faked. Off-site plays prescribe being reviewed, cited and listed by independent editors.
- Briefs are what engines say. They never rank plays on their own.
- SEO Health reads a sample. It is not rank tracking or backlink analysis, and it says which pages it read.
Evidence, not mentions.
