Raw HTML price and action
Many agents read a page without running its JavaScript. Anthropic's web fetch tool does not support websites dynamically rendered with JavaScript and points to a browser tool for pages that need clicks or forms. Vercel's December 2024 measurement found that OpenAI's and Anthropic's crawlers fetch JavaScript files but do not execute them. A price, stock state, plan table or add-to-cart or booking control inserted client-side is therefore invisible to these fetchers, while browser agents, which work from screenshots and the accessibility tree, can see it. Which path a given agent session takes is not disclosed per request, so the effect on any one agent is an inference from documented fetcher behaviour.

CGrade C: reputable industry data or observation. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
