NLWeb and schema endpoints
Microsoft's NLWeb (announced 19 May 2025, created by R.V. Guha) turns a site's schema.org, RSS or similar structured data into a natural-language ask endpoint, and every NLWeb instance also acts as an MCP server, so agents can query the site instead of scraping it. The MIT-licensed reference implementation on GitHub is still maintained in 2026. Launch adopters included Eventbrite, Shopify, Tripadvisor and O'Reilly Media. We located no answer engine or agent product that documents querying NLWeb endpoints, so the value is forward-looking, and it depends on complete, consistent structured data.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
