Grade DR-083Content

Original data that readers can check and cite

Whether original data earns citations has not been tested; this entry is a hypothesis built on neighbouring evidence. The nearest result is the GEO benchmark (Aggarwal et al., KDD 2024), where rewriting sources to add statistics, quotations or citations raised their visibility in generative-engine answers by roughly 30–40% on position-adjusted word count (see R-094); that study did not test originality. Google's helpful-content guidance asks raters whether content provides original information, reporting, research or analysis, which is a quality question, not a citation effect. First-party figures, attributed quotations and named sources are, however, the raw material of the treatments GEO-bench found helpful.

DGrade D: practitioner consensus. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
