Grade DR-054Measurement
Why AI-influenced visits can be hard to attribute
Few marketers measure AI citations: in a GoodFirms survey of 100 marketing and SEO practitioners in 20+ countries (Jan–Feb 2026), 14% said they track AI search citations, while 89% said their brands appear in AI-powered search results and 65% named AI-driven search changes as their top challenge. The sample is small and the appearance figure is not independently measured.

DGrade D: practitioner consensus. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
