Grade AR-154Technical

Indexing API scope

Google's Indexing API can only be used for pages with JobPosting or BroadcastEvent embedded in a VideoObject; submissions undergo spam detection, abuse (e.g. multiple accounts to exceed quotas) can get access revoked, and Google still recommends a sitemap for whole-site coverage. IndexNow's participating engines (Amazon, Bing, Naver, Seznam.cz, Yandex, Yep) do not include Google.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
