Evidence for whether a page is indexed
A crawl-side indexability assessment (status 200, no noindex, self-canonical, in the sitemap) and Google's index status are different evidence. The URL Inspection API reports only the version in Google's index and cannot test the indexability of a live URL, and Google's eligibility guidance says meeting technical requirements does not guarantee a page is indexed or served, including in generative features, where being indexed is a precondition.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
