Return shipping policy markup
Returns and shipping terms can be published as data that an agent or Google can check before a purchase. Google supports MerchantReturnPolicy under Organization via hasMerchantReturnPolicy (since June 2024) and under Offer for product-specific overrides. A policy needs applicableCountry and returnPolicyCategory (MerchantReturnFiniteReturnWindow, MerchantReturnNotPermitted or MerchantReturnUnlimitedWindow), plus merchantReturnDays for a finite window; alternatively it can give a merchantReturnLink. Since November 2025 Google also supports merchant-level shipping policies as ShippingService under Organization via hasShippingService, which requires shippingConditions; OfferShippingDetails under Offer.shippingDetails covers individual products. Precedence runs, strongest first, from the Content API for Shopping to Merchant Center or Search Console settings, then product-level markup, then organization-level markup.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
