VercatusProduct category markup
Since 7 July 2026 Google's merchant listing structured data supports Product.category, aligned with Merchant Center attributes. It accepts an array mixing plain text and CategoryCode values: text works like the feed's product_type (Google recommends under 750 characters), and a Google Product Category is given as a CategoryCode whose inCodeSet is the Google Product Taxonomy URL and whose codeValue is the category ID or its full path with levels separated by '>'.
