HTTPS and interstitials
Google's page-experience self-assessment asks whether pages are served securely and avoid intrusive interstitials, but Google states that beyond Core Web Vitals, page-experience aspects don't directly help ranking. Intrusive interstitials and dialogs make content harder for Google to understand: Google advises banners instead of full-page overlays and not redirecting users to a separate consent page; legally mandatory interstitials (e.g. age gates) are exempt but should overlay the content rather than redirect.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
