robots meta directives
Google's robots meta / X-Robots-Tag rules are all, noindex, nofollow, none, nosnippet, indexifembedded (only with noindex), max-snippet, max-image-preview, max-video-preview, notranslate, noimageindex and unavailable_after, plus the data-nosnippet attribute; nosnippet and max-snippet also limit use as direct input to AI Overviews and AI Mode. noarchive, nocache and nositelinkssearchbox are listed as unused. The more restrictive rule wins on conflict, and rules on URLs disallowed in robots.txt are never seen. "noai"/"noimageai" are not among Google's rules.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
