Agent surfaces

A site that already runs an API can make it discoverable to agents with two IETF mechanisms. RFC 9727 (June 2025, Standards Track) defines the /.well-known/api-catalog URI and the api-catalog link relation; the catalogue must be a Linkset (application/linkset+json). RFC 8631 (July 2019, Informational) defines the service-desc link relation for a machine-readable service description, such as an OpenAPI document, and service-doc for documentation meant for people. Both are discovery conventions only: they do not affect ranking, and we located no answer engine or agent product that documents reading an api-catalog.
