Scaled content abuse
Scaled content abuse — generating many pages for the primary purpose of manipulating rankings rather than helping users, typically unoriginal content with little or no value — has been a named spam policy since March 2024 and applies no matter how the content is produced: generative AI, scraping and automated transformation (synonymising, translating), stitching content from other pages, or people. Google's position is that using automation, including AI, is spam only when its primary purpose is ranking manipulation; it rewards quality however content is produced.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
