Structured data types that matter
Google's search gallery (updated June 2026) lists 25 structured-data features: Article, Breadcrumb, Carousel, Course list, Dataset, Discussion forum, Education Q&A, Employer aggregate rating, Event, Image metadata, Job posting, Local business, Math solver, Movie, Organization, Product, Profile page, Q&A, Recipe, Review snippet, Software app, Speakable, Subscription and paywalled content, Vacation rental and Video. Retired: HowTo (not shown since September 2023), course info, estimated salary, learning video, special announcement and vehicle listing (docs removed September 2025), practice problem (January 2026) and FAQ (not shown since 7 May 2026); fact check (ClaimReview) is no longer in the gallery. Markup must describe visible content, missing required properties make an item ineligible, and rich results are never guaranteed; unused markup causes no problems but has no visible effect in Google Search.

AGrade A: official documentation or a standard. A grade describes the provenance of the sources above; it is not a probability that a change will work. The effect basis says how the size of the effect is known: measured by a study, taken from an industry report, only documented without a size, or not quantified.
